CCOR II Protocol Modem Card

The CCORII modem card is AM’s status monitoring solution for C-COR’s lumaCor™ 3 RU broadband transport equipment. The CCORII modem card is part of AM’s family of headend monitoring solutions and works in conjunction with AM’s OmniStat™ Element Management System to provide real time status, control, and alarming information for each lumaCor™ 3RU device.
This modem card is an intelligent communications card that uses high speed polling algorithms to exchange information between individual 3 RU lumaCor™ headend devices and the Omni2000™ status monitoring software. The CCORII modem card implements the CCORII serial protocol for CCOR’s headend equipment but can be expanded to monitor additional CCOR legacy products. Remote software upgrades allow the modem card to receive updates in a matter of minutes.
CCORII modem cards are installed into AM’s OmniMCU™ products and interface to the lumaCor™ 3RU headend equipment through a serial interface cable provided with the modem card. Each unit can support multiple lumaCOR shelves using a daisy-chained architecture. To simplify the wiring, the CCORII provides two built-in RS-485 ports to reduce the run of daisy-chained equipment.
Using with the CCOR2 modem card, AM’s OmniMCU is able to provide continued support for CCOR.net’s new product lines while maintaining backwards compatibility with CCOR’s legacy devices.
